The Hydrosack is a water reactive temporary flood barrier for low level flooding incidents.   It is made from a non woven outer shell with a highly absorbent material inside.   Before activation it is lightweight at just 0.5kg. It's easy to store and move around. If kept in dry conditions it can be stored for at least 5 years.

The Hydrosack can be kept in position for up to 6 months.  Once use is completed empty the environmentally safe contents, a super absorbent polymer and wood pulp, onto a suitable location on the ground, they will break down organically in a short time.
